From Our Team

Daniel Bradshaw, CTO, VP Engineering

We work on systemic problems and try to avoid individual blame. We value people who can take a stand yet commit even when they disagree. We subject ideas to rigorous debate, but we remember that we’re here for the same purpose: to do good work together. Charging the trust battery is part of the work.

Michael Haggerty, Sr. Software Engineer

Not only do I get to work with cutting-edge tools to make impacts in a cutting-edge domain, but the people I work with are top-notch. Everybody is here to perform the best work of their careers; but at the same time, they know how to have fun and not take themselves too seriously. Amazing products and an amazing team!

Manuela Butuc, Geospatial Analyst

I love Airspace Link for so many reasons. Airspace Link is a perfect mix of smart and fun people doing challenging work that will have a positive impact on our society. Here I get to do what I love - GIS, with a programming twist added to it. In the Data team, we are always developing new ideas and processes that extract and transform data, new models and analytics. I am constantly doing something new and I never stop learning.

Mary Seidell, Geospatial Solutions Engineer

I have never met a kinder and more welcoming group of people. Even as the company expands, we are able to maintain the feeling of a close-knit group.

FAQs

How long does the recruitment process typically take?

It depends on how far you make it in our process. If we determine early that you are not the candidate we’re looking for, we’ll aim to let you know within 1 week of submitting your application. It generally takes 2-3 weeks for candidates that make it all the way through our process.

What steps are involved in the recruitment process?

We’ve summarized our process below. At each stage, we review the candidate's submissions and interactions to determine if it makes sense to invite the candidate to move to the next stage in our process. Review —> Interviews —> Take Home Challenge (if applicable) —> References —> Offer & Background Check

If I join Airspace Link, will I be required to travel?

Some travel may be expected but it is rarely required. We have 1-2 all-company face-to-face meetings each year. These are opportunities to meet with your fellow teammate's face to face and to spend some time getting to know other departments. While we often fill these days with heavy meetings, we also spend a significant amount of time bonding and enjoying each other’s company.

We also encourage our smaller teams to meet 1-2 times a year for a few days of collaborative, face-to-face work. When these events, such as our bi-annual Engineering Summit, occur we encourage all of the people in that team to attend but we also understand the timing might not work for everyone, and that’s okay.

How do I go about requesting reasonable accommodations during the interview process?

If you need reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact our People Operations at careers@airspacelink.com and let them know the nature of your request. We'll do all we can to ensure you're set up for success while upholding your privacy.
